No — you can start for free. Create your pet's profile, add photos, write their story, light a candle. All free. Paid tiers unlock extras like true ownership, more media, and founding perks — but the heart of Petfinity is free for everyone.
Not at all. If you've ever bought something online or used social media, you can use Petfinity. You sign up with your email, that's it. The technology underneath works quietly in the background — you'll never see a wallet, a seed phrase, or a transaction unless you want to.
Because they solve a real problem: your pet's memorial outlives the company. Here's how it works: your pet's profile is anchored to the Base blockchain — a decentralised network that no single company, including us, controls or can delete. Your ownership is recorded as an NFT: a unique, verifiable certificate that proves the memorial is yours. The actual data — photos, stories, videos — is stored on Arweave, a permanent storage network built to last centuries — our planned infrastructure for launch. If Petfinity ever disappears tomorrow, your profile stays yours — provably, permanently. For most people that's an invisible safety net they'll never need to think about. For the crypto-curious: yes, this is finally a utility token and NFT use case that actually makes sense. Memory, ownership, permanence. Nothing speculative.

a) Waitlist sign-up. When you submit your email address, we collect and store it to send you product updates, early access invitations, and founding community news. Your email is processed via Web3Forms (submission notification) and stored in Brevo (email marketing platform) to manage and deliver our email communications. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your explicit consent given at sign-up).
b) Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to collect anonymised usage data — pages visited, session duration, scroll depth, and conversion events (e.g. waitlist sign-up). This helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via cookie banner). If you decline, no analytics data is collected.
We use two categories of cookies:
Strictly necessary: A single localStorage entry (petfinity_consent) to remember your cookie preference. No expiry — persists until you clear browser storage.
Analytics (consent required): Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users and sessions. Retention: 13 months. These are only set after you click "Accept".
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage and cookies for petfinity.io, then selecting "Decline" when the banner reappears.
Vercel, Inc. (USA) — hosts this website. Vercel processes EU personal data under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Vercel Privacy Policy
Web3Forms (web3forms.com) — processes waitlist form submissions and forwards them to our email as a notification. No personal data is stored permanently by Web3Forms beyond the submission notification. Web3Forms Privacy Policy
Brevo SAS (France) — provides email marketing and automation services. Your email address is stored in Brevo to manage our waitlist communications and deliver the welcome email sequence. Brevo is an EU-based processor and processes data in accordance with GDPR. Brevo Privacy Policy
Google LLC (USA) — provides Google Analytics 4. When you consent to analytics, usage data is transferred to Google's servers in the USA under SCCs. Google Analytics 4 uses IP anonymisation by default. Data retention in GA4 is set to 14 months. Google Privacy Policy
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any other third parties.
Under the GDPR (if you are in the EU/EEA) you have the right to: access your data · rectify inaccurate data · request erasure ("right to be forgotten") · restrict or object to processing · data portability · withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@petfinity.io. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Germany: the relevant Landesdatenschutzbehörde).

Waitlist email addresses are retained in Brevo until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics 4, after which it is automatically deleted.
